GRADING SYSTEM



Grades will be based on the Percentage System. Every student shall start with 100% per semester.


Grading scale based on total percentage per semester.


This system will also be used with 0 Period Jazz Band. (z) Applies to Jazz Band Performance Grade.
A 90%-100%
B 80%-89%
C 70%-79%
D 60%-69%
F 0%-59%


Final Exam

(Given at Director's discretion.) Every student will be issued a tape and will be required to make a recording of the Final Exam Etude, to be turned in on a specified date. The Recording may be done at home or in school. No tape, or a tape not recorded will result in an F for the semester!

Playing Test Results (Recording)

The playing test will effect your grade in the following manner:
90%-100% 1 Grade Higher
70%-89% No Grade Change
60%-69% 1 Grade Lower
0%-59% 2 Grades Lower
